Other "closeted" government-worker conservatives??

Haven't been too active here recently. Then I thought about how I might do a little social networking using this blog. I became a conservative over time. Working in government and being conservative is an interesting experience. Of course I encounter Republicans in elected capacity, and their staff often have a conservative bent. But generally I'm surrounded by liberals and keep my politics to myself.

I recently worked with a colleague who was dismissive of both the elcted official and the staff that supported him based solely on their politics; they were actuallly supportive of the issue being discussed. I kept my thoughts to myself; wishing I could state my real views but knowing how costly it could be to my career. I'd love to hear from other workers "in the closet" as conservatives.
